Diving

This year we are thrilled to announce that Stephanie Van Istendal will be running the Diving Program at Wedgewood. Stephanie has been coaching for eighteen years, the last twelve at Haddonfield Memorial High School. During her twelve years at HMHS the Dawgs have won the Colonial Conferance each year. She is U.S. Diving/Safety Certified and we believe that she will be a tremendous asset to our club!

Schedule
The schedule is as follows:

  • Beginning on Monday, June 23rd to Wednesday, July 23rd the 8 & unders will dive from 9:30 to 10:30, the 9-10s will dive from 10:30 to 11:30, and the 11&ups will dive from 8:30 to 9:30.
  • The first meet will be on Sunday, June 29th and the 2nd meet wiil be on Sunday, July 13th. On July 20th there will be a third meet only for those that have not yet qualified.
  • The Championships will take place on Thursday, July 24th.

Registration
You must register your child both with the AAU Diving association and complete the Wedgewood Swim Club diving team registration form.

  • To register your child with Wedgewood Swim Club, click here to download a Diving Team Registration Form (PDF File). A check for $40 is also required made payable to “Wedgewood Swim Club”. Both the form and the check are to be given to Michelle Conway-Bennett. You may also submit your payment online by clicking here. Registrations will not be consider complete until both the form and the payment have been received.


  • To register your child with AAU Diving, please follow the below instructions:
    • Log on to the aausports.org website
    • Click on “become an aau athlete”
    • Click on “athlete category”
    • Enter your child’s personal information
    • For programs, please select “youth program”
    • For membership term, please select “membership expires 8/31/08, added benefit membership $14”
    • For sport, select “diving”
    • For club, enter “South Jersey Diving Association”
    • For code, enter MADI6B5KB7
    • Please print 2 copies of the membership card. Keep one for your records, and give one to Michelle Conway-Bennett or one of the coaches along with your check for $14 made payable to “AAU Sports.” Your child cannot go off the diving boards until this card is received.
